Job Description:
We are seeking a Java J2EE Applications Development Lead to manage a development group across multiple locations. The successful candidate will have a varied technology background with exposure to multiple technology languages and platforms. Developed applications with adherence to IT controls while meeting tight time lines to Market goals is critical.
  • Managing a development team across multiple technology domains towards building new applications and also enhancing existing suite of applications
  • Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels
  • Contribute to architectural/design feasibility discussions, prototype development and code reviews.
  • Establishing Road map of the applications and leading toward execution. Demonstrate a strategic mindset while developing systemic solutions to meet business needs.
  • Establishing individual and team goals on an annual basis and conducing employee performance calibrations as needed. Mentor Junior resources.
  • Plan, architect, design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document ASP .NET, Java J2EE and SSRS programming to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects.
  • Must adhere to architecture standards, mentor less experienced team members, perform code reviews, and lead presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, and best practice development
  • Keep abreast with the latest developments in technologies; share knowledge with the team and propose adoption of new technology.
  • Participate on or lead cross-functional development/integration projects requiring interaction with end-users and external technology clients.
  • Assist the team in supporting the application in QA and production environments.
  • Proficient in providing support and guidance to the development teams during all phases of the SDLC and AGILE development model including application support
  • Providing high quality, cost effective services to clients within scope of responsibility
  • Expertise in IT Controls and exposure to test driven development methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10+ years of highly technical work in large, complex enterprise environments
  • Minimum 5+ years recent hands-on software development work experience in large-scale distributed technology projects
  • Firm understanding of end to end solution architecture, business process management, and enterprise application integration of third party and custom developed solutions.
  • Demonstrated fluency in Java J2EE and Object-Oriented technology along with an understanding of middleware and web integration principles.
  • UI design and development experience
  • Firm understanding of end to end solution architecture, business process management, and enterprise application integration of third party and custom developed solutions
  • Experience with SQL Server and Oracle Database
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in .Net and SSRS a plus
  • Hands on experience with designing software applications using UML.
  • Working knowledge of multiple technology infrastructure and platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire technical and business process knowledge and skills quickly
  • Knowledge of tools such as SubVersion, Tivoli, Ctrl-M and Cyberark
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to mentor others
  • Hands on experience with version control and defect tracking systems.
