Nammo Composite Solutions, owned by Nammo Talley, Inc. is an engineering and composite manufacturing company with more than 20 years of operation. Our facility is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified professional individual to fill the role of Process Engineer. The chosen candidate will, with independent judgment and discretion, plan and design manufacturing processes at our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Primary Responsibilities:

Primarily supports the manufacturing team resolving manufacturing issues for Salt Lake City operation

Troubleshoot manufacturing processes for rate, cost, safety, and quality improvements

Analyze workflows within and across all work cells to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommends solutions to overcome these issues

Compile and analyze run data to baseline and improve processes

Self-starter/motivated engineer with great organizational skills

Develops assembly process flow, layout concepts, equipment specifications, role developments, work instructions, standards, improvement activities, etc.

Defines problems and opportunities in quantitative terms. Gathers and analyzes data to evaluate alternate courses of action to improve processes. Recommends and justifies process improvement solutions. Assists managers and works with supervisory staff to implement process changes throughout the operation.

Develops work and performance measurements. Devises and implements control systems to collect and analyze data, establishes standards for performance and develops tools for measuring performance to control deviation from standards.

Compiles and evaluates test and production data and provides recommendations for continuous process improvement or modifications.

Performs projects to eliminate defects and reduce costs.

Supports supervisors in training manufacturing personnel on manufacturing process.

Transition development jobs to production.

Will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

BS Degree in relevant discipline

Ability to independently determine and develop manufacturing related solutions as issues arrive.

Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems of moderate to complex in scope.

Excellent working knowledge of all MS Suite products.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and mathematical concepts related to the manufacturing process.

This role required punctuality, good attendance and the ability to focus on the work at hand during sometimes stressful situations and times with there are multiple priorities.

Experience with NADCAP certified processes is a plus

Experience with AS9100 certified processes is a plus
