Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and dedicated individual thatwill serve in the role of Project Engineer responsible for the technical execution of medium and large caliber ammunition production, design,development and test programs. This person will have the knowledge and previous experience to ensure program technical objectives and requirements are achieved and will be involved with proposal activities to capture production and design opportunities for theNammo Group. The position will interface with the Small and Medium Caliber Ammunition (SMCA) and Large Caliber Ammunition (LCA) Nammo Business Unitlocations in Norway, Sweden and Spain.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute medium and large caliber production programs with a high degree of technical rigor.
  • Apply sound engineering design principles to develop new warheads and ammunition products to meet customer requirements.
  • Conceive, plan and execute valid test plans to evaluate new warhead and explosive concepts.
  • Support on-going US Government qualification of Nammo ammunition products
  • Effectively lead junior Project Engineers and provide guidance to accomplish program objectives.
  • Work with the business development team to define customer requirements and objectives and to write new business proposals.
  • International communication and travel to support SMCA and LCA business unit endeavors as necessary

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • 5 to 10 years of progressive verifiable related experience.
  • BSME/BSChE/BS in Physics or related field.
  • Experience in the design, development and production of medium/large caliber ammunition and components to include fuzing.
  • Skilled technical report writing.
  • Solid modeling and structural analysis experience.
  • CTH or other hydrocode experience preferred.
  • Experience with internal/external ballistics code preferred.
  • Effective cross-functional communication and project management skills.
  • Problem solving capabilities and experience dealing with failure investigations.
  • Ability to obtain a USG security clearance if Necessary
