Position Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Systems Test Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality products. You will work with software and hardware engineers in ensuring quality of the solutions we develop. Key areas of your work include developing automation testing framework, defining test cases and test plans, and documentation.    

What You’ll Do:

  • Review requirement documents and create appropriate test documents (SVP, ATP, ETP, etc.)
  • Create and update test documents to validate requirements while stressing the unit under test
  • Review, provide guidance and input on testing documents.
  • Record test results and present results as needed to responsible parties
  • Configure test environments required to properly test the unit under test
  • Set up test station per a block diagram and test setup documentation
  • Use various test equipment tools such as: Software (Bus analyzers, ACMS Tester, AGS Software tools, Wireshark), Hardware (O-Scopes, Logic Analyzers, Teledyne Mate stations)
  • Solve problems in an efficient manner within time constrained projects
  • Communicate successes and challenges precisely to senior team members or management
  • Gain a working knowledge of the Teledyne process and procedures

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 8 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A strong understanding of testing methodologies to test and account for corner/stress test conditions

  • Strong ability to read and understand schematics (hardware), flow charts (software), and System Block diagrams (Systems)

  • Experience in writing test plans and test cases

  • Experience with python or other scripting language

  • Experience with computer networking fundamentals - protocols, routing, etc.

Even Better if you bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience writing test automation preferably using Python or JavaScript

  • Experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Test Complete, and/or Python Robot

  • Experience building and implementing test automation frameworks

  • Understanding and experience with git or code repositories

  • Application development experience in Java, Python, or C#

  • Experience with DO-178/DO-254 and ARINC 429/717 databus protocols

  • Experience with Doors, JIRA and Agile methods
