Job Summary:

Weare seeking a highly qualified individual to perform a variety of highly skilledand specialized duties in the role of an Engineer that is responsible fordesigning, developing and executing test methods and services for obtainingaccurate data and analysis using independent judgement, discretion andinitiative. Testing includes, but is not limited to, hazardous operation,ballistics, pyrotechnic, DOT, ordnance, propellant, explosives and insensitivemunitions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design hardware
  • Perform stress and strain analysis
  • Research and resolve problems
  • Design instrumentation and sensors
  • Design circuits and electrical devices
  • Set-up and operate data acquisition systems
  • Design, develop and fully execute test methods and services for obtaining accurate data using independent judgment, discretion and initiative
  • Mentor and assist other technicians
  • Oversee projects, designing hardware and training technicians.
  • Set up and the execute tests.
  • Help to investigate and resolve technical problems.
  • Work close with Engineers and Technicians in a team environment

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

    • Must have a full comprehension and understanding of how to apply instrument technology with data reduction and analysis. Instrumentation includes strain gages, load cells, pressure transducers, heat flux gages, radiometers, calorimeters, high speed cameras, manganin gages, thermocouples, amplifiers, signal conditioners, and other.
    • B.S./M.S. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Electronics with minimum five years’ experience.
    • Excellent and highly proficient skills in Instrumentation Application
    • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to perform hands-on work, be a lean thinker, self-starter and problem solver
    • Ability and willingness to work with energetic devices
    • Ability to qualify for DOD Clearance
