Senior Project Engineers at ACI are involved in all aspects of the engineering process from conceptual design, development, testing and deployment. They have opportunities to drive engineering decisions and execute those decisions to directly affect the success of projects.

Position Description

Responsible for all aspects of an assigned project, and responsible for all interaction with the customer; maintaining schedules, meeting all design criteria, and assigning duties to other engineers as needed to complete the project. Duties include: electrical drawings design; schematic design; bill of material development; PLC programming; HMI programming; network configuration; schematic quality control; control panel quality control; On-Site startup support; safety placarding design; Complete Management of Projects; Controlling Project Budgets; Coordinating Duties with Engineers. Responsible for handling project budgets; identifying scope of work and communicate to the Sales & Estimating department when changes are required to the purchase order.  Must be able to communicate what parts, labor, engineering are necessary to perform the additional work.  This position is responsible for leading the on-site startup or assigning an Engineering Field Manager to perform this startup.  This position works closely with all levels of engineering to ensure the desired results are met and attending scheduling meetings as assigned by management.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

  • As a condition of employment, candidates must have acceptable background check results and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • This position may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent. Two (2) years experience in electrical engineering in controls. Travel to client sites is required throughout the United States at various unanticipated worksites.
