Job Description

ADP is hiring a Windows Systems Engineer. This position will require you to use technical knowledge and organizational skills to advance desktop security, management, and functionality across the enterprise. You will be collaborating within a self-managing Agile SCRUM team of Windows Engineers.

This position is part of Engineering and the candidate will have the opportunity to work with other Platform, Network and Security engineering teams to maintain operational aspects around process and technology. The candidate must work as part of an integrated team with the goal of implementing the best solution for Service Delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide technology design expertise, direction and consultation, in the development, integration, launch, scaling, and maintenance of new and existing Microsoft Windows products
  • Aid in the development of the system, technical, security and application architecture for Windows OS
  • Define, document and communicate the overall desktop OS designs and deployment processes that meet business need in alignment with ADP strategic direction
  • Assists in providing technology analysis, recommendation and business case development for client requests requiring new or enhanced products / services to ensure development of efficient systems in alignment with the strategic direction of ADP
  • Define and ensure the execution of Windows OS security requirements and compliance
  • Conduct vendor and product analysis, evaluation, certification and recommendation of new or enhanced IT vendor's products and services
  • Coordinate work teams and provide technical support to team members
  • Aid in the development of the strategic Desktop OS services roadmap for the next 18 - 24 months
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to extend the use and functionality of the Desktop OS programs within ADP

Qualifications Required

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience, preferably in a large Enterprise
  • 1+ year of professional IT experience in Modern IT Management
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • The ability to follow documented processes and procedures from SCCM Engineering and create documentation for Operations as required
  • General knowledge of SaaS and PaaS based technology
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and OMS related to EUC
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OneDrive and cloud based storage management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud based authentication and provisioning
  • General knowledge of Office 365 offerings
  • Experience with System Management
  • Experience with device and technology migration to the Cloud
  • Ability to write SQL Management Studio T-SQL queries against Lab and production environments
  • Use of Regedit.exe or similar applications
  • Active Directory Security Group management within Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers
  • Use of Microsoft Active Directory Sites and Services to identify configured subnets
  • The ability to learn and grow as an IT professional, constantly learning new technologies
  • Open-minded approach to Team building and knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft products and Server Operating systems
  • Understanding of SCCM current branch
  • Understanding of fault tolerance and high availability in system and infrastructure design
  • Technical understanding of Mac and mobility, including mobile device management (MDM)
  • Understanding of how to implement Production Changes, including change control processing, lab testing, and documentation; including troubleshooting of issues encountered
  • Willingness to work weekends and after hours on occasion
  • Group and Local policy troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Network traffic, Firewall, load balancer and network proxy
  • Knowledge of Sysinternals for troubleshooting issues
