Job Profile

The Unified Communications Architect (UC Architect) has the primary responsibility to provide design, configuration, and implementation, install, and support the Harris Health System voice network. The majority of the UC Architect's time will be designing, configuring, testing, and articulating your thoughts to the customer, other IT teams, and upper management. Must have excellent written and communication and people skills. Must be able to manage, prioritize, and complete tickets and projects with little or no supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees: Bachelors Degree (BA or BS)

Licenses & Certification: Associated Cisco Certified Professional certification is required, CCIE and CCDE is Preferred

Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing and maintaining a VoIP infrastructure and applications.

Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Writing /Correspondence /Report

Proficiencies: MS Word, MS Excel, P.C.

Work Schedule:

Equipment Operated:

All Cisco Hardware as it relates to voice telephony, voice over network, voice over wireless, video, contact center, and collaboration

Other Requirements:

  • Must be willing to respond to IT related Outages on 24X7.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work efficiently, and good team orientation.
  • Expert-level experience in relevant fields of voice network engineering/implementation and design.
  • Excellent technical skills on VoIP networks, primarily related to Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco SME, voice routing, CUBEs, security, and voice over wireless.
  • Expert level hands-on operation of voice equipment, management tools and network analyzers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco telephony, Cisco Jabber, Cisco WebEx, collaboration tools, and wireless telephony.
  • Extensive hands on with Cisco 4400 voice gateways
  • Both hands on and experience on Cisco wireless networks and devices
  • Experience with video over network and collaboration applications
  • Experience with voice and video routing through firewalls
  • Experience with Cisco Contact Center Enterprise a big plus.
  • Experience with Cisco routing and switching a plus.
