We are now hiring for an Area Chief Engineer to oversee Maintenance and upkeep at two of our Seattle area hotels - the Homewood Suites in Lynnwood and the Courtyard by Marriott in Kirkland. The position will spend a few days at each location to work with the maintenance team(s) and to ensure quality work is produced. Previous hotel or property maintenance experience in a supervisory or management position is required.

Job Overview

When our guests arrive, we want everything to be in excellent condition. The goal of our Maintenance team is to help our guests feel safe and cared for! As an Area Chief of Maintenance for multiple properties, your attention to detail and ability to lead by example ensures that our guests at each location have a comfortable and problem-free stay.

As an Area Chief of Maintenance, you will:

Hire, train, supervise, motivate, counsel and recognize the maintenance staff at each hotel.

Oversee daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling all within a set department budget at each hotel.

Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of the hotels and inspect work completed by others to ensure quality and standards are met.

Troubleshoot various technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.

Oversee safety programs and key control at each hotel.

Greet and assist guests with all requests. Proactively garner relationships with long term and repeat guests to develop loyalty and maintain a high level of satisfaction.

Support the goals of each hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
