Position Description
Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions
-Coordinates simulation center schedule (including OSCE, sim and classroom) in compliance with simulation center policies working to prevent scheduling conflicts.
-Programs simulator software to model simulator's physiological response to instructor specifications.
-Operates and manages patient simulators and cameras for the duration of simulations.
-Operates and maintains audio-visual and debriefing systems.
-Sets up and takes down simulation laboratory equipment. (May involve rapid turnover of simulation lab set up).
-Management and analysis of all medical and simulation equipment for use by medical and nursing faculty and students.
-Sets up and maintains computer-based training programs.
-Sets up and maintains surgical/procedural simulators.
-Provides theatrical production (costuming and moulage) for simulation scenarios as requested. Mixes fake body fluids and creates wounds.
-Provides technical assistance, support and training to faculty, instructors and staff in use of simulation equipment.
-Collects and analyzes data to develop solutions or alternatives for standards of practice including data collection for research and grants opportunities.
-Provides technical support for task trainers and multimedia peripherals including:
  * Beds/examination tables, headwalls, patient monitors, and other health care equipment
  * Medication dispensing systems
  * Vital sign monitors
-Maintains current knowledge of simulation/lab equipment catalogs and operation manuals.
-Ongoing innovation and technical upgrading of all equipment including research and discovery of new methods for operation of all equipment.
-Collaborates with supervisor to organize, maintain and restock skills lab and simulation laboratory supplies.
-Maintains simulation activities and learner confidentiality.
-Provides recommendations on equipment, supplies and materials.
-Maintains and repairs all simulation equipment, including:
  * Patient simulators, computers, monitors and a variety of medical equipment.
    Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts vendors as needed.
-Provide product engineering and device innovation to meet identified educational need.
-Works closely with Center Director to determine opportunities for innovation and design, and to perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years. Bachelor’s Degree in Electric Engineering/IT or Related.  Plus, 2 years’ experience in server configuration, computer encryption, electronic circuit design, FPGA Programming.  Knowledge in differential equations, mechanics, microprocessor systems, electronic engineering power systems operations, and digital systems designs.
