    SALARY SCHEDULE:

    Starting at $22.45 through $23.47 depending on experience

    DEFINITION:

    The Electrician maintains, installs and repairs all electrical equipment in the maintenance of buildings and facilities. Performs job related duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Maintains, repairs, installs electrical systems including interior and exterior conduit, transformers, power circuits, motors, generators, switches, switchboards, heating and air conditioning controls, and exit signs and emergency lights.

    2. Trouble-shoots electrical failures on such items as motors, controls, fuses, ballasts, wiring, cooling pumps, heating units, and A/C units.

    3. Repairs kitchen appliances, i.e. commercial fryer, dishwasher, commercial oven, deep freezer.

    4. Maintains indoor and outdoor athletic field lighting.

    5. Estimates cost of materials and labor in relation to electrical repairs and replacements.

    6. Installs new electrical circuiting and power supply.

    7. Maintains parking and security lighting.

    8. Maintains electrical supply inventory, shop machinery and power tools.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. High School diploma or GED.

    2. Completion of electrician apprenticeship, along with five years of electrical construction and service experience.

    3. Knowledge of electrical schematics and systems, safe electrical repair techniques and materials.

    4. Physical ability to stand, turn, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, lift, push, pull, climb ladders, poles, and scaffolds.

    5. Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.

    6. Have sufficient vision and hearing to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job.

    7. Possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
