The Enterprise Contact Technology team delivers solutions that allow customers to perform self-service functions through Interactive Voice Response and Chat solutions or directly interact with customer service and sales agents to meet their financial needs.  This Sr. Apps Systems Engineer role will be responsible for overseeing End to End testing approach across all inter-connected contact center applications, and participating in automation design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.  This role will influence test environment installation and and maintenance to match production and integrations.  This role will champion the utilization of enabling technologies that will help drive continuous automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery to complement an agile release delivery model.   Span of awareness and influence will be across all applications in the contact center area, including Carrier routing, Interactive Voice Response, Customer Interaction Routing and Soft phone integration (inbound/outbound), Interaction Recording and Analytics, passive and active fraud detection, Workforce Management, Operational Reporting and Data Marts, Collaborative services (Chat, Co-Browse), and Customer Relationship Management systems.

The ideal candidate will have will have strong leadership skills and experience, significant experience in development and testing methodologies, processes, tools.  Technical knowledge across numerous technologies (e.g., Web/Mobile, Web Services, Cloud, Java / Selenium, .NET, Empirix, Nuance, Genesys, Salesforce, Cisco, CA DevTest, Jenkins, etc.) is critical, with emphasis on systems integration development and testing    Strong need for Test Automation and/or software development experience is desired to drive the transformation of Development and QA teams toward test automation with continuous integration/continuous delivery to better enable agile project delivery.  The candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of server infrastructure and application/data integration between Enterprise-scale systems. 

The selected candidate will work closely with the application development, line of business, other interfacing technology teams, performance testing, and regression automation teams to meet the business objectives and goals of the department.  This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Defining/Reviewing component and E2E test strategy for platforms supported, ensuring comprehensive coverage for new implementations and regression testing, and automating testing where possible.  Ensuring the delivery of quality application releases, providing appropriate risk analysis throughout the SDLC to mitigate application risks and additional costs for area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 3+ years of HP ALM experience
  • 5+ years of testing or quality assurance experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 1+ year of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) programming experience
  • 3+ years of XML (Extensible Markup Language) experience
  • 4+ years of distributed servers platform experience
  • 2 + years of experience with Agile tools
  • 4 + years of automation or regression testing experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • NICE Call Recording experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Knowledge and understanding of automated regression and maintaining scripts in regression
  • Knowledge and understanding of full suite of Contact Center technologies in a converged network environment with an emphasis on Genesys or other CTI and Call Routing platforms preferably in a large financial services environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Softphone
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation
  • Knowledge and understanding of telephony: IVR application testing and quality assurance
  • 1+ year of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 1+ year of virtual directory services experience
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 2+ years of UNIX experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • 2 + years of experience with server administration and job creation using Jenkins Continuous Integration server
  • Telecommunications experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Computing, Chatbot, and Virtual Assistant
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles

Other Desired Qualifications

* 1+ year of Mainframe experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
