Core Engineering's Hardware Engineering Team is seeking a qualified candidate for a lead Engineer position. The Engineer will be a seasoned IT automation engineer with experience in Linux, Windows, Oracle, automation and implementation. This person will lead efforts related to Firmware and Layered product automation packaging using JAVA, VBS, Powershell, Bash, KSH, C, C++, JSON, XML etc. Automation using HPSA, Ansibil, HPOO, Puppet is one of the leading growth spaces for the bank and the need to validate and ensure these technologies are properly functioning and are configured with the appropriate security standards is the utmost priority for this group.

The candidate will work in relation to x86 vitalization technologies and physical server standards. They must have a clear understanding of these technologies current life cycle-status and road maps. The Engineer should have a strong grasp of associated technologies such as storage, network, and out of band management devices. Project work will be assigned based on availability and need and will include working with various internal and external business partners to engineer solutions in relation network virtualization and compute virtualization needs. 

The engineer will be available to provide 3rd level support their engineered solutions when needed. They will also work solutions as needed with peer teams and related vendors. Duties will include certifying new releases , iterations, patches and vulnerability remediation’s of physical and virtual devices.

The Candidate will be responsible for completing automation for and not limited to firmware, Layered products, server configuration updates and engineering of HA, Disaster recovery solutions, SAN, Network connectivity specifications and related tools. The Individual should also have experience using capacity and resource management tools. This engineer will be called upon regularly to produce KSH, Perl and python scripts.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both

Other Desired Qualifications
  • DELL Server, HP DL series, HPE SA/OO, Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2/2016, RHEL 6.x, 7.x, Solaris 11, OOB - IDRAC, ILO, ILOM.
  • Scripting environment: visual basic, powershell, bash, ksh, Java.
  • Developed and implemented HP server automation policies for Dell and HP Windows server 2008/2012R2/2016 Windows driver(s), enterprise automation.
  • Worked HPE Server Automation Developer for Windows and Unix firmware automation for DELL, HPE and ORACLE servers in the enterprise.
  • Leveraged engineering principles to improve solution design of the automation framework.
  • Worked on Solution design, implementation, and maintenance of firmware automation framework for Hardware engineering.
  • Developed automation in multiple operating systems such as Rhel, Windows and Solaris leveraging shell, bash, ksh, powershell and vbs scripting technologies.
  • Worked closely with support teams to identify areas of improvement and implemented new features in the firmware automation framework in an agile fashion.
  • Can Identified defects in the in-house automation framework and, improve patching success rates.
  • Designed, developed server-side automation from the ground-up for reporting in Splunk.
  • Splunk dashboards automation validation.
  • Developed and implemented automated solutions for management of server hardware.
  • HPOO framework for automated testing of server-side scripts for configuration of HP iLO and iDRAC.
  • Developed and released an enterprise wide automation solution for firmware automation for HPE, DELL, ORACLE using  HPOO/SA framework.
  • Automation solution for firmware automation of Oracle servers using REST API and HPOO/SA framework.
  • Resolved issues during SIT development and ensured steady development progress was maintained, overseeing project goals with respect to HPSA automation development.
  • Enhanced firmware automation repository HPSA scripts to new requirements, ensured scripting provided additional functionality desired. Assisted in building firmware repositories across all datacenters in Wells Fargo.
  • Developed an in-house web page for all Red Hat Satellite servers in WellsFargo server engineering.
  • Developed and implemented a HPOO automation framework for  vulnerability remediation by vmware hardware version upgrades for virtual engineering team.
  • Created Linux and Windows HPSA software policies for DELL and HP  vulnerability remediation.
  • Created HP OO flows and HPSA Windows, Linux/ Unix software policies for ADDM remediation.
  • Developed automation for SIM and OME Hardware Monitoring of DELL and HPE server infrastructure in the enterprise.
  • Enhanced existing Out of band HPSA Linux scripts to current customer requirements and ensured scripting provided expected functionality. (ILO/IDRAC devices).

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
