Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

This individual will be a senior technical team member responsible for setting direction across the converged infrastructure technology domain.  These responsibilities will span storage, server, and network within the converged stack.  The individual will partner with the various engineering domains, architecture, maintenance, operations, and CIO teams to ensure these technologies meet the business demands.  This will include evaluating new technologies, setting strategic direction, authoring white papers, position papers, and executive presentations.  

The individual will need to be a thought leader in infrastructure with a technical understanding of the underlying technologies.  They will be the technical lead for large and complex projects requiring collaboration across infrastructure, platform, and application teams. They will need to be comfortable interacting and influencing senior/executive leadership, CIO partners, peer infrastructure groups, audit, operational risk management, security, and vendors. 

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of infrastructure experience

  • Agile experience
  • Experience supporting senior level leaders/executives
  • Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies, and goals
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology roadmap development
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems, storage, and network infrastructure
  • 1+ year of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as lead subject matter expert on storage, network, and/or server technologies.
  • Experience building relationships in an infrastructure environment.
  • Partner across organizational boundaries to analyze & manage problems, and incorporate lessons learned into go-forward builds and design activities. 

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
