The Production Support Apps Systems Engineer needs to understand complex business requirements and processes through effective analysis which includes participation in regular project sessions and working with other Production Support SMEs, architects and business/technology partners.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading level 2  technical efforts and act as an escalation for less experienced support engineers related to the implementation and support of Docker, Kubernetes and containerized applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
  • 1+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience
  • 3+ years of server virtualization technology experience utilizing one or a combination of the following: VMware, LPAR, or LDOM

Desired Qualifications

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to act as a liaison between the technical design staff and business requester to ensure all requirements are met
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of TCP/ IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • 2+ years of systems vulnerability management experience
  • 5+ years of C# experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of JavaScript framework
  • Experience with major database engines including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Team Foundation Server, Artifactory (Xray), Black Duck, CheckMarx and/or combination of  Software Composition Analysis experience

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work on call as assigned
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
